Gon Bops California Series Super Quinto 9.75 Inch (Mahogany Stain, Oak) Description The lumber has to be hand-selected from only the finest air-dried quartersawn Red Appalachian Oak. Each stave is meticulously cut and bent by hand, steel rings hand-hammered into place, then cured for months. The shells are then hand-glued and again, hammered to shape. Many months later they are ready to be turned by an artisan who has made these shells the old-fashioned way for more than 20 years. Once they are sanded to a baby-soft finish, nearly one full year has passed.
